At the end of the tournament, Ben finished with a Bronze medal in Kata, a Silver medal in the team fighting competition and finally, a Gold medal in the individual fighting department and the student of The Willink School in reading and just earned his Black belt recently, finished as the overall winner and was awarded the trophy for his success.

His karate teacher spoke to the media after the tournament and stated that the youngster had always shown potential and an aptitude to excel against boys much older than him but what he has achieved is unthinkable even for him. Not only has he been crowned the British Champion, by virtue of becoming the WIKF champion in his category, he will now represent his country in the WIKF category when the European Championships kick off in Greece in September.

Ben became the youngest ever champion in the competition and his mother is also very proud of the achievements of her son and wants Ben to pursue karate along with his studies and wants him to become a world class fighter in the future. Ben is a huge fan of BJ Penn and Bruce Lee, according to his mom and there are traces of the legend in the youngster as well.
